Diseases caused by lack of sanitation


Lack of Sanitation in an area will definitely bring about some negative impacts. One of the most significant effects would be diseases and conditions caused by lack of sanitation. 

Written below are some common examples:

  • Waterborne diseases, which can contaminate drinking water

  • Diseases transmitted by the decal-oral route

  • Stunted growth in children

  • Malnutrition, particularly in children

Proper actions should be taken in order to resolve the increasingly worrying issue of the lack of sanitation in certain areas.

Dear everyone, It has come to my attention that not everyone is taking sanitation seriously. Places in our that SHOULD be Sanitised

As we all know, our houses are where we are the most. With that being said, we should always make sure that our houses are clean and sanitised. Here are a few places in our house that we should definitely go the extra mile to ensure its sanitation: KITCHEN Almost everything in the kitchen will end up in our stomach, so we should make sure that our kitchen is properly sanitised and that there are no food left out in the open. BEDROOM Almost half our lives are spent in our bedroom, where we sleep, play and do our work. Therefore, we should make sure that we clean our bedroom at least once a week, and ensure there's no dust or bugs that may cause us any harm. LIVING ROOM Although not as important as the ones mentioned above, we should also take care of the sanitation of our living room as it the place where guests frequently are. It is important that we make sure our guests feel welcomed, and that they leave healthy .

Sanitation  is defined as the conditions relating to  public health , especially the provision of clean drinking water and adequate sewage disposal.  It refers to  public health  conditions related to clean  drinking water  and adequate treatment and disposal of  human excreta  and  sewage .  Washing  your hands with soap and preventing  human contact with  feces  is part of sanitation. Sanitation system aims to protect human health by ensuring a clean environment that will prevent the  transmission of disease , especially through the  fecal-oral route .
